Your First Visit

Welcome to Linworth Family Dental! Our entire team of dentists and support members are happy to bring you into our dental family, and we hope to serve your ongoing dental needs for a long time to come.

Your initial visit is an essential one that sets the stage for our dental relationship and your oral health. We use this time to learn about you, find out the current state of your oral health and discover problems that need to be addressed and goals you have.

Should I Bring Anything to My First Visit?

If you have dental insurance, please bring the card to your appointment. Nonetheless, we are happy to accommodate patients without insurance and provide a variety of payment and financing options if needed.

Also, please fill out our new patient forms before your appointment time. We appreciate when new patients download and print these forms from our website, fill them out and bring them in. If you need to complete the forms at our office instead, please arrive a few minutes before your appointment to do so.

Our new patient forms cover topics such as your medical history, dental history, medical information and contact information. Our entire team follows HIPAA guidelines to maintain the privacy of your personal information.

What Happens During the First Visit?

Your first visit as a new patient with our office begins with a consultation. Our team members go over your information and talk to you about your concerns or goals. Please communicate any symptoms you are experiencing and hopes you have about your oral health or smile to give our dentists a full picture.

Your dentist for the appointment performs an examination of your oral health, which includes looking at your teeth, gums and mouth for signs of dental problems and oral cancer. Our team likely uses digital X-rays and possibly other technology to get a better look.

Your dentist uses the information gathered during this appointment to talk to you about your health and any treatment that may be needed. Then, you make relevant follow-up appointments with our office team, such as a visit for a professional cleaning.

How Does Financing Work for the First Appointment?

Our office strives to provide top-quality care at affordable prices for our patients. We also accept a variety of dental insurance plans, which tend to cover this type of visit. Nonetheless, there may be a copay or office visit fee associated with your plan.

We also have numerous payment and financing options available, including paying with a credit card or using our in-office financing plan. Ask our office team about the options available to you.

Thank you for trusting us with your dental care. To ask questions or schedule your first appointment, call our office at 614-799-9500.
