Sterilization Protocol
At Linworth Family Dental, our team recognizes that this is a difficult time to come to the dentist’s office. You may feel uncertain about whether it’s safe and prefer to simply put off your next visit until a later date.
However, we encourage you to return to our office for your regular dental cleanings and exams, or for treatment visits you have put off. Delaying your dental care may contribute to problems.
Also, we are taking steps to ensure that all of our patients and team members are as safe as possible. While we have always put a priority on safety and sanitization, we are doing so more than ever in light of the pandemic. Here is more information on what you can expect during this time.
American Dental Association Guidelines
Our dental office is following recommendations by the American Dental Association (ADA) related to COVID-19. This means we follow local and state mandates and adapt as they change. We have a hazard assessment process and safety plan according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The ADA also recommends vaccinations for dental staff, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), social distancing, pre-screening patients before visits and then assessing patients when they arrive for an appointment.Our Sanitization Measures
Our office continues to properly sanitize all dental tools and equipment between patient appointments, as we have always done. Our team relies on sterilization equipment to ensure everything is properly cleaned. We also sanitize treatment rooms and the office throughout the day.
